Badlapur, a town in Thane District of Maharashtra state, is situated on the banks of the Ulhas river & is surrounded by hills on all sides thus making city known for its scenic beauty. This town comprises of various villages such as Kulgaon, Manjarli, Katrap, Shirgaon, Juweli, Mankivli, Sonivli etc. But during the last decades due to rapid industrialization the situation has undergone a
drastic change & area developed into an Industrial town, providing employment to the villagers. Mumbai has been recognized since long the capital of Industry, trade & finance. Therefore all the industrial estates were categorized into A, B, C & D zones according to availability of Infrastructure & facilities. Badlapur was marked in 'B' zone category.
Today Badlapur is an industrial town with all infrasture & facilities like Hospitals, Educational institutions, Water supply etc.
In the nearby vicinity, there are two landmarks viz. Barvi Dam & 400 year old Temple of Lord Shiva called Kondeshwar, a place where many people visit on holidays.

This Industrial area is situated 40 km from Mumbai, established by State Govt. organization
Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC)on an area of apx. 105.2 hector land fully
developed & planned with all the amenities required for Modern Industrial Area.
This Industrial area is different from others for having Textile processing & Printing,
Chemical, Pharma, Engineering, Glass & Plastic Industries, make the area versatile with S.S.I.
& M.S.I. Industries employing apx. 10000 -15000 people in 350 various industries. This Area
is well connected by Road, Rail to surrounding Industrial areas & it is 60 km away from JNPT port
which is an added advantages for exporters/importers.
There is certainly an advantage to be in Govt. Industrial Area, which provides regular
electricity & water supply. And above all keeping the eco friendly environment very soon this area
will have it most efficient, Modern Common Effluent Treatment Plant for Industries.
This Industrial area has a very strong industrial association called BIWA formed in 1977 to
meet the challenge of industries. BIWA has it's own Building complex to transact the function of
association effectively by governing body of following Committee Members.
We are very much proud to have members SSI & MSI Industries unit with us who have own Prestigious award like, UDYOG Ratan, NATIONAL award, SSI award etc.,from Govt.of India.Many of units are on the world map for EXPORT of textile, glass, machinery, chemicals, pharma etc., to various countries. We also have industries having ISO 9000 registration to meet the international quality standard.

BIWA is the real bridge between the industries & Govt. body, solving the problem and improving the industrial relation with the Govt. agency and also having the best Public Relation that brings better harmony amongst all. Bringing best healthy industrial environment in this area and upgrading the knowledge with the latest amendment and rules from time to time by arranging different workshop, seminar and meetings for employer and employees both, for healthy employer-employees relation which will certainly create atmosphere of working together.
